The silver lining of the first year of the Covid pandemic was that it allowed for significantly more time in my studio, and more time there alone since my studio mate and I alternated days to avoided contact. The paintings in this gallery were all done during those first several months of the “lockdown” and channel a lot of the uncertainty, anxiety, isolation and new possibilities that were all present at once.
